Ghana Jollof Recipe


  • One cup of rice
  • A pound of meat of your choice
  • Medium size onion, chopped and ginger
  • Tomato paste/puree
  • Cooking oil
  • Spices of your choice/Maggi cube


  • Season and fry the meat
  • Fry your onion till its golden brown, add tomato paste
  • You can add sweet pepper and garlic blended with your tomatoes
  • Allow it to cook for 7 or more minutes, add your spices allow it cook for a while
  • Add your washed rice
  • Mix it with veggies (diced carrots, green peas), cover it well so it steams well
  • Stir intermittently.
